This kit helps with maintenance issues of the J/70 Carbon Mast. The carbon mast reacting to the Aluminum Mast base causes issues if not attended to. This kit puts a fiberglass inset into the mast as a bearer making a much better situation. 25mm of the carbon mast will need to be cut off when installing. Ask Sail22 to schedule this installation for you.

Replacement J/70 Spreader Flange Bracket. Contact Ed Furry at Sail22 for advice on how to have this item installed. As the factory permanently installs this item using epoxy adhesive, it will require specialized equipment to remove without damaging the underlying spar. Not for the DIY'r.
